2009 Pig Roast & Art Auction

Welcome to the 8th annual Ossabaw Island Pig Roast, Picnic and Art Sale, the only fund raising event sponsored by the Ossabaw Island Foundation. This fall event is hosted in Mrs. West's front yard overlooking Ossabaw Sound. Guests leave from Skidaway Island on pontoon boats provided Mike Neal's Bull River Cruises to the North End dock of Ossabaw. Most people choose to walk the mile road to the Torrey-West Estate. Transportation is provided for those who do not want to walk that distance.

Lee Epting Events from Athens, GA provides a southern buffet lunch and the roasted pig and sauce is prepared by Ossabaw's own Roger Parker.

Through the year artists come to Ossabaw to be inspired and work. As a thank you for working on Ossabaw many donate a completed work of art for the silent auction held at the Pig Roast. Friendly competition is a part of the silent auction, as guests want to take home an Ossabaw inspired work of art.
