Day Trip and Overnight Trip Details: Everything You Need to Know about TOIF Trips

Planning to join us for one of TOIF’s sponsored day or overnight trips?

Here’s what you need to know, regardless of which trip you’re planning to attend.

About one week before your visit, an informational email will be sent to everyone who registers, outlining the details of your visit.

Travel Arrangements: We are pleased to work with several licensed charter boat companies to provide travel to and from Ossabaw Island.

How to reserve/pay for your trip ticket: Trip fee is payable at (the Ossabaw Island Foundation “store” website), OR in advance by check to: The Ossabaw Island Foundation, 305 Fahm Street, Savannah, GA  31401.  Reservations are required, as space is limited.  Payment in full is required to confirm reservations.

What does my ticket purchase?
Day Trips: Fee includes round-trip boat transportation to Ossabaw Island and the full day of programming, including materials.  Fee does NOT include your sack lunch or bottled water / beverages. You must bring those with you on day trips.

Overnight Trips: Fee includes meals, overnight accommodations in the Club House, Boarding House, or camping (bring your own tent) and programming.

Cancellation/refund policy and weather policy:  No refunds.  Trips will occur rain or shine, hot or cold weather, except for during severe weather watches or warnings.  In the case of trip cancellation due to weather, the trip will be rescheduled.

What to bring:
Day Trips: Sack lunch, bottled water or other beverage.

Overnight Trip: Toiletries, clothing, pajamas, extra food or beverage over and above catered meal offerings.

What to wear: Casual outdoor weather-appropriate clothes and closed toed shoes.

Age:  Trips are designed for adults and for children age 12 and over. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or supervising adult.

Other important information: Trips do not include a tour of the Torrey-West Estate, out of respect for privacy.
